Welcome

Welcome

Alonnissos island is a unique travel destination as it combines the tranquility of the nature with a rich variety of activities. Whether you travel as a couple, with family and friends, or even alone, the island has its own secrets, waiting for you to discover them.

The island’s main settlement and port is Patitiri. While there, you may visit the Historical and Popular Culture Museum of Allonissos and the church of Agia Paraskeui. You may also enjoy the traditional food served in the fish taverns near the port and the nearby villages. In the village of Palaio Chorio, which is about 6 km far from Patitiri and connected to it via a bus service, you may find some nice bars and night clubs.

Thetis Apartments are located in the village of Agios Dimitrios, in the southeast part of the island and are only 20 meters away from the beach, offering a unique view of the Aegean Sea and of the island of Peristera. The beach is the biggest on the island and it is tranquil most of the time.

In the nearby villages of Kalamakia and Steni Vala, local food is served in the traditional fish taverns. There are also a number of super markets and a diving school offering scuba-diving expeditions. The villages are also connected to Patitiri via a regular bus service.

Alonnissos is also renowned for its beautiful beaches, the most notable of which are Chrisi Milia, Leftos Gialos, Kokinnokastro and Milia. A number of tourist offices organize trekking tours on the island’s paths.

Finally, Alonnisos is the host of the National Marine Park of Alonnisos and the Northern Sporades, which is the only protected sea area in Greece and the biggest in Europe, for the preservation of the Mediterranean seal and other sea species. Cruise boats starting from Patitiri offer tours in the protected area, around the island of Kyra Panagia (home to one the most beautiful monasteries in the area) and to remote beaches (Sfigka).
